Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Palangkaraya. The Central Kalimantan Regional Police deployed a fire-hunting team as an effort to prevent forest and land fires (karhutla).
Central Kalimantan Police Chief, Pol. General Inspector Dedi Prasetyo explained that dozens of motorbikes for fire hunting team were given to the police ranks to move quickly. "Each Polres received two motorbikes and Directorate of Samapta and Mobile Corps Brigade were handed over 5 motorbikes each," said Dedi to MNC Portal Indonesia, Jakarta, Friday. (05/28/2021).
The Head of Central Kalimantan Police said that the handover of the motorbikes for the fire hunters was handed over to five Polres which had a high level of vulnerability to forest fires, such as the Kobar Police, Kotim Police, Katingan Police, Palangka Raya Police, and Pulpis Police.
According to Two-star General, the fire hunting team is used as a quick reaction unit in handling forest and land fires that cannot be reached by four-wheeled vehicles.
"Hopefully, the provision of this fire-hunting motorbike could provide convenience and smoothness to the Police personnel, in carrying out the task of handling forest and land fires in Central Kalimantan Province," explained Pol. General Inspector Dedi Prasetyo.
At the same place, Central Kalimantan's Head of PR, Pol. Grand Commissioner Eko Saputro added that his party also provided Bajaka two-wheeled vehicles (Bhabinkamtibmas script guards) for 14 National Police headquarters which contained school children's textbooks.
"Hopefully this motorbike could provide services to children in remote villages so that they could have extensive knowledge as well," concluded Pol. Grand Commissioner Eko Saputro.
