To Improve Services to the Community, West Sulawesi Regional Police Installs 140 CCTVs in 6 Regencies

Tribratabews.polri.go.id - Mamuju. The Regional Police of West Sulawesi showed its seriousness in improving services to the community by installing 140 units of CCTV surveillance cameras in 6 districts.

The surveillance camera is integrated with the Command Center system in each National Police and is directly connected to Regional Police Command Center to the Police Headquarters.

This was revealed by the Head of the Technology, Information and Communication Division of Regional Police from West Sulawesi, Pol. Grand Commissioner Darwis Rincing when closing the Command Center operator training event at the Pantai Indah Mamuju Hotel, Saturday (05/29/21).

He explained, the construction of a Command Center system in West Sulawesi to monitor any activity that could potentially cause security problems so that the Police could quickly handle it.

"With this Command Center system, we are optimistic that we can improve the handling of security disturbances quickly so that people will feel more secure in carrying out activities," explained the Head of ICT.

In addition, in the future this camera will be connected to the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (E-TLE) system so that traffic offenders can be immediately prosecuted, that it will create a culture of orderly traffic in the community.

The use of this IT-based security system really helps the Police in discovering criminal cases because the Command center can be connected directly to people who needs Police assistance through Polisiku application which can be downloaded via Smartphone and Police Service 110 which can be accessed directly using any type of cellphone.
