The Bekasi City Police (Polres) opened a case of distributing 31 kg of marijuana from two different locations and three people were arrested in this case.
Head of Public Relations (Kabidhumas) of Polda Metro Jaya Commissioner Endra Zulpan said that the disclosure of this case occurred on Thursday (27/1/22) at a car wash on Jalan Raya Parung, Bojongsari, Depok City.
Kabidhumas explained that the police had arrested another suspect in the Pondok Gede area, Bekasi City, Friday (1/28/22). "From the two crime scenes, they managed to secure 31 kilograms of marijuana. From this crime, investigators arrested the three suspects with the initials NA or T, DN and AL," he explained at a press conference at the Bekasi Metro Police, Wednesday (2/2/22). ).
Commissioner Endra Zulpan also explained that this type of marijuana came from North Sumatra or Medan which was then taken by car to their destination.
The evidence that was secured by the Police, apart from marijuana is a weigher, a cellphone and a car used by the suspect to bring marijuana to Bekasi. "These weigher are allegedly used to weigh marijuana into small units, then distributed and circulated to the drug users," explained Kabidhumas.
In this case, the suspects were charged with Article 114 paragraph 2 subsidiary Article 112 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph 1 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with maximum sentenced a death penalty.
