inp.polri.go.id – Bandung. The Governor of West Java, M Ridwan Kamil or famously known as Kang Emil, appreciated the West Java Regional Police and BNPT for arresting three high-ranking officials from the banned Indonesian Islamic State organization or NII.
"I commend the BNPT and the West Java Police, as well as the Garut Police for their work in arresting three high-ranking NII officials," said Kang Emil during his visit to Cirebon Regency, Friday (4/2/2022).
Sodikin, Jajang, and Ujer, who are residents of Garut Regency, claimed to be NII Generals. They were arrested by the police and presented at a press conference at the Garut Police Headquarters, Thursday (3/2).
All of those three played a major role in spreading their radical ideas.
“These three people claim to be NII generals. They have recruit a lot of people from Islamic boarding schools and the general public," said Kang Emil.
