The Uniqueness of Papuan Police: Together with Farming Group to Enhance Farming Potentials During the Pandemic

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Wamena.Chief of Community Development Unit of Jayawijaya Departmental Police, Police Commissioner Attendant Harbani Paruki, encourages people to maximise their agricultural produce in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic on Saturday afternoon (31/07/2021). He delivered this statement when visiting Mr Asso Matuan in Wouma village, Wouma district, a member of the farming group formed by the Community Development Unit of Jayawijaya Departmental Police. On the said occasion, the Chief of the Community Development Unit encouraged people to maximise agriculture to improve people's economic sector during the pandemic. Besides, the Chief of Unit also inspected the long beans and carrot farm planted by local residents and Police personnel last week. Related to the increasing Covid-19 cases in Jayawijaya, the Chief of Unit also reminds the Village Head always to maintain public security and order in their region and always adheres to Health Protocols. "Our region saw 384 people infected and 17 people dead. I hope for Village Head's role to ask the residents to be careful with this Covid plague", Chief of Unit appeals. On the same occasion, the Chief of the Community Development Unit gave basic necessities packages to Mr Asso Matuan as the Village Head and coordinator of Asmat Farming Group.
