The South Sumatra Regional Police Destroyed 1.7 Kg of Methamphetamine and 468 Ecstasy Pills from the Arrest of six Suspects

Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Palembang. The Directorate of Drug Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) of the South Sumatra Regional Police destroyed 1.7 kg of methamphetamine and 468 pills of ecstasy with six suspects.

The Directorate of Drug Investigation at the South Sumatra Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner. Heri Istu Hariono, said that the arrests of the perpetrators were due to information from the public.

The Directorate of Drug Investigation at the South Sumatra Regional Police explained that the modus operandi of the perpetrators was to take advantage of the Covid situation, but we still know about their actions, Monday (08/30/2021).

Meanwhile, Saiful, a suspect who was caught carrying 1 kg of drugs, said that he got the illicit goods in the Aceh region.

"I will deliver the goods to the Betung Banyuasin area, South Sumatra, but I haven't reached my destination yet," explained the suspect.

Saiful, who works as a farmer on a daily basis, said that he had only run this illicit business once.
"I just got a down payment of Rp. 3 million to deliver the illicit goods, and I regret it," he concluded.

Accompanied by the perpetrators named M. Saiful, evidence of 10 packages of methamphetamine, weighing 977.74 grams, Erwinsyah, evidence of ecstasy 458 pills, M. Taufik Akbar, evidence of one package of methamphetamine, weighing 201.93 grams.

Suspect Doni, evidence of one package of methamphetamine weighing 98.69 grams, Indra Gunawan, evidence of two packages of methamphetamine weighing 186.83 grams, 10 ecstasy pills and M Ridho as evidence of three large packages of methamphetamine, weighing 294.84 grams.
