The Police Personnel of Binmas Noken Enhances KASUARI Programme with the Fish Farmers of Deiyai Regency

The Police personnel have been associated with criminal arrest or traffic management. However, another side of the Police is rarely exposed by the media, such as Binmas Noken (Noken Community Development Unit) of Papua with their KASUARI programme. The KASUARI programme (Welfare for the People) is a programme of education and assistance in the field of agriculture, livestock, plantation, fisheries and industry for Native Papuans. Just like the visitation from Police Inspector 2nd Class Frans Maraya, Police Sub-Inspector 2nd Class Semin, and Police Chief Brigadier Agustinus Bawan to the farm owned by Mr Yoseph Mote on Thursday (19/8/2021). At 09.30 local time, at the farm of Mr Yoseph Mote, which also the community figure and people under Binmas Noken guidance, the personnel led by Police Inspector 2nd Class Frans Maraya talked with Mr Yoseph and also inspected the development of seeds of catfish, goldfish, and tilapia, duck farm, and also small sweet potato plantation. Police Chief Brigadier Agustinus Bawan said, "Thank you to Mr Yoseph Mote, who always welcomes us in visitation to inspect the animal farms and plantation and also tells us about his problems. Event though Mr Yoseph is entering his golden age, born in 1963, he has high willing to do the work". Mr Yoseph Mote thanked the Police, particularly the Binmas Noken Task Force because they always visit him and inspect the plants, fish, and animal farms. "I always visited, and they inspected my fishes and plantations. This means that I am being loved and taken care of, and they always gives me basic necessities. Therefore, I say thank you".
