inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The police are still investigating the alleged corruption case of flats in Cengkareng, West Jakarta. Recently, two people with the initials S and RHI have been named as suspects.
"This is related to the criminal act of corruption in the procurement of 4.69 hectares of land in Cengkareng District for the construction of flats by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Housing and Government Building Service (DPGP) for the Fiscal Year 2015," explained Head of Public Information Bureau of the Public Relations Division of the National Police (Polri) Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, Wednesday (2/2/22).
The investigation of this case began with a report that was reported to the Criminal Investigation Unit Polri on June 27, 2016. This incident began during the procurement of land covering an area of 4.69 hectares and 1,137 square meters in Cengkareng District, West Jakarta which will be used for the construction of flats for the 2015-2016 Fiscal Year with a project worth of Rp.684,510,250,000.
However, the land object is suspected to be partially or wholly in a bad condition, and/or the title certificate is suspected to be that of forging.
"So it cannot be owned and fully utilized. This results in financial losses to the state," he continued.
In addition, it was also found that the alleged flow of money receipts or kickbacks from the seller had benefited officials and other officials related to the unscrupulous procurement land acquisition process.
In disclosing this case, investigators confiscated cash worth Rp. 1 billion, with details of Rp. 161 million from the former Head of the Government and Trantip Section of Cengkareng District, initials MS.
Then, Rp500 million in cash was confiscated from the Cengkareng sub-district head for the 2011-2014 period, initials J. Then, Rp790 million in cash from the Cengkareng sub-district head for the 2014-2016 period, the initial ME.
"Other than cash, the police also confiscated girik documents, documents for the issuance of certificates of ownership rights (SHM), land certificates, documents related to land acquisition, and documents related to land payments," he explained.
The two suspects were charged with Article 2 and/or Article 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes (Tipikor).
