Tribratanews.polri.go.id. - Jakarta. National Police Chief, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, directly observed the implementation of the mass vaccination collaboration between the National Police and the All-Indonesian Student Executive Board (BEM SI) at Esa Unggul University, West Jakarta, Wednesday (09/01/21).
The National Police Chief hopes that the synergy between the National Police and Student Executive Board (BEM SI) will continue in accelerating the acceleration of mass vaccination. That way, the target of communal immunity or herd immunity and two million doses of vaccine per day will soon be realized.
"Of course this requires hard work, synergy with all elements so that this progress could run well," explained the National Police Chief in his review.
The National Police Chief also appreciates the active role of Student Executive Board (BEM SI) in accelerating this vaccination effort, which has collaborated with the National Police several times to carry out similar activities, including twice at the STAN Campus with a total of 2,500 vaccine doses. The former Banten Regional Police Chief hopes that the collaboration between the Indonesian National Police and the Student Executive Board will continue by involving Student Executive Board from Universities in Indonesia that are members of the BEM SI.
“Our hope is that it will not stop here, but will continue in the future by involving all existing Student Executive Board (BEM SI) campuses. We hope that we can achieve the target of achieving two million doses of vaccination in a day," the National Police Chief bolds it.
On this occasion, the National Police Chief also reminded that the face-to-face learning (PTM) process which had begun to be loosened should be taken into account. So that he continued, when the PTM was started it did not result spike in cases.
“One of them is how people who carry out activities, especially in the field of education, must strictly implement health protocols. And the most important thing is that the activities are really sure that we are in a safe condition, have more immunity to deal with Covid, like it or not, we have to be vaccinated, "said the former Head of Criminal Investigation Agency
Therefore, he stressed, if offline activities or face-to-face learning are to be relaxed, vaccines must be carried out. Because in the future, vaccines will be the main requirement for all community activities.
On this occasion, I reiterate the invitation to maintain the health protocol, Let's wear masks, let's get vaccines," concluded the National Police Chief.
In this mass vaccination activity with Student Executive Board (BEM SI) at Esa Unggul University, 1,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine were provided targeting students and the general public with the help of 42 vaccinators. In addition to administering vaccinations, the National Police also handed over food packages given to those who had been vaccinated.
