Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Mobile Brigade Corps of Indonesian National Police Holds Vaccination for children with special needs at the Merdeka vaccine outlets, Dharma Asih Foundation and Exceptional Education Foundation (YPLB) Nusantara, Depok, West Java.

Head of Physical Health of the Mobile Brigade Corps of Indonesian National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Danu Waspodo explained that the vaccination was to celebrate the 76th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

"Today the Mobile Brigade Corps of Indonesian National Police and Bhayangkara Mobile Brigade Hospital are collaborating with the Depok City Public Health Office and Education Office in carrying out vaccination activities for people with special needs and persons with disabilities in the Depok City area," he explained.

He also said that there were two target areas in Depok, namely Beji and Pancoran Mas. Vaccination at these two locations targets 300 people with special needs.

There is something different about this vaccination. He explained the difference, namely caution, because the target people vaccinated this time is special needs.

"There is a difference in giving vaccinations for disabilities. For people with disabilities, they are very attentive. However, they have shortcomings compared to normal ones. So one day earlier, the hospital and specialist doctors have carried out screening of participants who will be vaccinated," he said.

According to the direction of the Indonesia National Police, he always added to pick up the ball and pursue vaccination targets to create herd immunity. Everyone, including people with special needs, needs to be vaccinated.

"From Mr Commander of the Mobile Brigade Corps, he gave directions to all of us to always speed up picking up the ball for people who have not been vaccinated, so we have to green the people of Depok and its surroundings, including people with disabilities," he concluded.

The Mayor of Depok Idris Abdul Shomad appreciated picking up the ball for the vaccination program. Abdul assessed that the vaccination target could be met because of the participation of all parties.

"I see this as proof of the commitment of the nation's children and all institutions in the Republic of Indonesia in dealing with this worrying pandemic, and everyone can collaborate. So thank you for my highest appreciation," said Abdul.

In this activity, the Mobile Brigade Corps of Indonesian National Police also provided social assistance to YPLB Nusantara in food packages and daily necessities and free medical cards for children with special needs at the Bhayangkara Mobile Brigade Hospital.
