As the law enforcement, police will always be ready to solve any kinds of law cases. The institution of National Police perhaps is the most spoken or written words in media social.
Of course, either in positive or negative media exposure, Polri still has the most screentime in social media.
Sadly, that is still not enough to inform the works or the perfomance of the police to the people.
If we analyze further, obviously, the first case is that there is different perspective, that may or may not an agenda from that nedia, that might happen against the Police.
However, the high officials of Polri are still open to any kinds of critics and suggestions from that media. Polri did not consider that media as their own enemy.Polri only hopes that medias in Indonesia is objective in conveying their message, and saw the problems from many angles.
Now for the second factor, which is the capability of human resources that the media had in conducting their duty.
Nowadays, there are journalists that still do their job as any content creator in social media, that did not research the problem thoroughly.
The kinds of copy-pasteing the news from Google, or even social media, caused many errors. This is also becomes a factor in affecting television media badly, and ineffectively covering the performance of Polri.
Lastly, the third factor that we ususo see is that the programs about police in the television is that it's too dramatic
In hopes that the community would give a positive perception towards Polri, it instead backfires and makes the program feels too dramatic, out of place, and resulted that it did not convey the message it meant to be.
This situation is indeed need to be reevaluated together, including the journalists, to give the best example in covering the police in social media in the future.
The news coverage about the police is a must, but the deliver is obviously need improvement, and of course in line with the good journalistic principle.
