Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Sixteen suspects in drug crime cases have been arrested by the Directorate of Drug Crimes of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Indonesian National Police. From the arrest results, the police secured evidence in the form of 44 kilograms of marijuana, 29 kg of crystal methamphetamine and 1,500 pills of ecstasy.
Director of Drug Crimes of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Indonesian National Police, Police Brigadier General Krisno Halomoan Siregar, explained that from August 25 to September 28, there were four cases. Everything so far is exploring whether there is a connection as a network or not.
The one-star general explained that the first case was in the Cikupa area, Tangerang Regency. In this case, the Criminal Investigation Agency and Customs secured evidence of 500 grams of methamphetamine and 200 ecstasy pills.
"All of the developments we received from Customs. As a result, three people with the initials PSP, P and SR were arrested," explained the Director of Drug Crimes of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Indonesian National Police.
Meanwhile, the second case of disclosure of drug trafficking was carried out in the Utan Kayu area, East Jakarta, with one suspect who was an online courier with the initials AS.
"The evidence is 1,300 ecstasy pills or weighing 532.96 grams gross. The suspect arrested is 1 US. The work of a private employee is an online courier deliveryman or online motorcycle taxi. We are looking for the controller with the initials PCB," explained the Director of Drug Crimes of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Indonesian National Police.
Third, officers confiscated 47 kilograms of marijuana from the Mandailing Natal and Padang networks. As a result, seven suspects were arrested in Bogor, West Java.
"Seven people arrested the suspect. We are working with the West Sumatra Regional Police to arrest the controllers, so seven people, and we are still developing the source of which field this came from. Hopefully, we can solve this," explained the Director of Drug Crimes of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Indonesian National Police.
In the last case, the police confiscated 29 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and arrested five suspects. The arrests of the suspects were made after the authorities monitored their movement from Sumatra.
"We followed him from Sumatra Island to a hotel in the Serang area. We arrested two suspects, R and WMP, the recipient at the Jakarta NHF hotel, and the controller in Aceh with the initials HS. After that, we cooperated with the Aceh Regional Police, and finally, we arrested the controller in Aceh. Jakarta with the initials E," explained the Director of Drug Crimes of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Indonesian National Police.
His party is still developing the case because it is suspected that HS is the person who has been controlling the transportation from Aceh. "The statement from Malaysia is that we are still working with our partners from Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) for its development," Krisno continued.
For their actions, the suspects were subject to Article 114 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. And Premeditated molestation (subsidair) of Article 112 Paragraph (2) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
