The Counterterrorism Special Detachment 88 of Indonesian National Police Successfully Arrested Three Terrorist Suspects in East Luwu

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - JAKARTA. Counterterrorism Special Detachment 88 arrested three people of another suspected terrorists in East Luwu regency, South Sulawesi, on Friday (10/8/21).

The arrest of those three people was occurred in Tomoni district, East Luwu, in three different locations. They are initialled HE (43 y.o.), NS (47 y.o.), and SA (40 y.o.).

The arrest was developed from another arrest of one of the terrorist suspects in Magetan, East Java. The Counterterrorism Special Detachment 88 then investigated the findings to the South Sulawesi and arrested three people in East Luwu. All three of them are suspected to be affiliated with Jamaah Islamiyah terrorist group.

Chief of PR and Press Agency of South Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Endra Zulpan, confirmed the arrest of three suspected terrorists in East Luwu. Counterterrorism Special Detachment 88 team is now still investigating to look for other alleged terrorists.

"It is correct that three people in East Luwu are terrorists. Regarding the arrest chronology, we cannot deliver it first because we are investigating for other perpetrators", he concluded.
