Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Kudus. The need for health workers to serve patients at hospitals in Kudus Regency, Central Java is ensured to be fulfilled. The Chief of Indonesian National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, said the shortage of health workers that had occurred was finally fullfillef by health workers from other regions.

He mentioned there was assistance from the health workers from the Ministry of Health, the Provincial Health Agency, and from the police and military hospitals in other areas so that the current need for health workers was no longer a problem.

The Chief of Indonesian National Police’s statement was a response to the massive number of health workers in Kudus Regency who were confirmed positive for Covid-19. As of June 4, 2021, it was reported there were 358 health workers in Kudus who were exposed to Covid-19. The good news is the positive health workers are doing well.

It is believed this is due to the proven efficacy of the Covid-19 vaccine. Kudus and Bangkalan in East Java are indeed facing an explosion of Covid-19 cases. In Kudus itself, there was an increase in the occupancy of the isolation beds for Covid-19 patients from only 40 patients to 350 patients in more than a week. Meanwhile in Bangkalan, the number of occupied isolation beds increased from 10 patients to 80 patients in the same period.
