Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Serang. The Banten Regional Police held go-to-school vaccination in Serang City at SMA Negeri 3 Serang City, Monday (07/19/21).
A total of 500 students from SMA Negeri 3 Serang City participated in the vaccination activity.
Head of Health and Medical Unit of Banten Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Agung Widodo explained the purpose of the Go To School Vaccination.
“Alhamdulillah, today we have started vaccinating students in Serang city. For the city of Serang starting today at SMA 3. And has been visited by Chief of Banten Regional Police. We vaccinate our younger siblings, our children, because from now on we have started vaccinating with the target age 12 years and over who meet the requirements, both age requirements and health screening requirements, " Police Grand Commissioner Agung Widodo explained.
Head of Health and Medical Unit of Banten Regional hopes after getting the vaccine, students’ immunity can increase.
"This vaccine is one of the efforts to break the chain of Covid-10 transmission; and health protocols still must be maintained, wearing masks, maintaining distance, washing hands and so on,"the Banten Police Intermediate Officersaid.
Meanwhile, Head of Public Affairsof Banten Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Edy Sumardi added the implementation of vaccination complies with strict health protocols.
“Of the 500 students who were vaccinated today, all were scheduled. SMA Negeri 3 school has arranged schedule for each student. Per 1 hour for 100 students, the rest later on Wednesday, " Police Grand Commissioner Eddy Sumardi said.
Head of Public Affairs of Banten Regional Police also expressed his gratitude to SMA Negeri 3 Serang City for caring about the health of their students.
“I hope this can be an example for other schools. We, from Banten Regional Police appreciate the concern of SMA Negeri 3 Serang City because they care about the health of their students and support government programs in accelerating the handling of Covid-19 in Banten Regional Police jurisdiction," the Intermediate Officer of Banten Regional Police concluded.
