Tribratanews.polri.go.id. – Semarang. The Aku Sedulurmu program was initiated by the Central Java Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, received the support of the wider community. This time, PT. Jamu Sido Muncul provided assistance worth IDR 500 million.
The assistance was handed over directly by the President Director of PT. Sido Muncul's Herbal and Pharmaceutical Industry, David Hidayat told the Central Java Police Chief at the Central Java Police Headquarter, Thursday (08/12/2021).
The Central Java Regional Police Chief explained the reasons for initiating the Aku Sedulurmu program. The Regional Police Chief said that the program was used to help children whose parents died due to COVID-19.
"All of Central Java, from 35 Police Stations in the Central Java Regional Police, have recorded that there are 333 children whose parents died of COVID-19," said the Regional Police Chief.
According to him, the 333 orphans will be assisted by the Central Java Regional Police in schooling them from Elementary School (SD) to Senior High School (SMA). The aid received from Sidomuncul will be allocated to help the orphans.
"The aid will be put into a bank account to cover the child until he finishes his education," he said.
The Regional Police said, in the Aku Sedulurmu program, the Central Java Regional Police coordinated with women and children activists as well as the Central Java Provincial Social Service to conduct counseling. This is expected so that the orphans affected by Covid 19 could exist again.
"We hope that their counseling could exist again and not remember their parents who were affected by COVID-19," explained the Regional Police Chief.
In addition, the Regional Police Chief appreciated the businessmen, especially Sidomuncul, who had contributed. He hopes that this assistance will be useful for the community.
Meanwhile, the President Director of PT. Sido Muncul's Herbal and Pharmaceutical Industry, David Hidayat said previously, Sidomuncul had distributed rice assistance to the people of South Sumatra amounting to IDR 500 million through the South Sumatra Police on (08/06/2021).
This time Sido appears again distributing aid to the people of Central Java amounting to IDR 500 million through the Central Java Regional Police.
"I hope this assistance can help ease the burden on the people in Central Java, especially with the current implementation of Community Activity Restrictions," he said.
