The Mobile SIM Service Unit of the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police has again opened counters for the extension of the validity period of a driving license (SIM) at five locations in Jakarta, Monday (7/6). Based on data from the TMC Polda Metro Jaya, mobile SIM services are available at five points in Jakarta to make it easier for residents to extend the legal requirements for driving the vehicle.
The location is at:
- Grand Cakung Mall, East Jakarta
- Kalibata Trilogy Campus, South Jakarta
- Jalan M Saidi Raya Petukangan, South Jakarta
- LTC Glodok, West Jakarta, and
- Banteng Field Office, Central Jakarta.
The Mobile SIM Service Unit of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police opens services from 08.00 Western Indonesian Time to 14.00 Western Indonesian Time. To be able to access this Mobile SIM service, people are expected not to forget to complete the requirements before visiting the renewal location.
The requirements are a photocopy of the National ID (KTP) card along with the original ID card, then a photocopy of the old and original driver's license, proof of health check and filling out the application form. Meanwhile, the service can only extend a valid SIM, namely SIM type A and SIM type C.
For SIMs that have expired, the SIM holder must apply for a new SIM at a place that has been determined by the police. As for the type of SIM B, it cannot be done on the Mobile SIM service, but must be extended at the SIM Satpas (Driving Licence and Traffic Service) office due to differences in the allocation of documents.
