inp.polri.go.id - Medan. The Head of the North Sumatra Regional Police (Kapolda Sumut) Inspector General (irjen) Drs. R.Z. Panca Putra Simanjuntak, M.Sc., made various efforts and steps to suppress the third wave of Covid-19 in the North Sumatra region.

In this case, the North Sumatra Police Chief mobilized Bhabinkamtibmas and Babinsa to be the leading force in the sub-district to carry out 3T (Tracing, Testing, and Treatment) for people who got exposed to Covid-19.

This statement came after Kapolda Sumut held a Cross-Sectoral Coordination Meeting with Forkopimda regarding the handling of Covid-19, which was held at the Tribrata Hall of the North Sumatra Police Headquarters, on Monday (14/2/22).

Other than implementing 3T, the way to suppress the new wave is to comply with health protocols and continue to wear masks, and self-isolate to those who are exposed or show any symptoms of Covid-19.

The Two-Star General emphasized that any gathering must be limited by referring to a circular letter from the government that is re-enacted.

"The existing rules will be enforced and tightened again. Lately, we have let our guard down since the decrease in cases. Operation Yustisi will also be improved to keep people in check in obeying the health protocols. For people who violate the regulations, there will be sanctions awaits, "stated Kapolda Sumut.
