Supporting the Covid-19 Vaccination Program, the Bangka Belitung Regional Police Deploy 938 Vaccinator

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Pangkal Pinang. Bangka Belitung Islands Regional Police deployed 938 vaccinators to accelerate the COVID-19 vaccination program. In addition, vaccinators are deployed in several areas to reach residents.

"These 938 vaccinators serve COVID-19 vaccinations to the public at 88 points," explained Chief Deputy of Bangka Belitung Regional Police, Police Brigadier General Umardani in Pangkal Pinang, Saturday, (21/08/21).

Police Brigadier General Umardani said that in suppressing the number of cases and breaking the chain of transmission of COVID-19, the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Government appointed the Chief Deputy of Bangka Belitung Islands Regional Police as the Head of the Vaccination Task Force to increase community immunity against the corona virus.

"We are targeting 20,000 vaccinations per day. To achieve group (communal) immunity in this area, it will take at least two months," explained the Chief Deputy of Bangka Belitung Islands Regional Police.

According to the one-star General, the Vaccine Task Force consists of sub-tasks, namely education and socialization sub-tasks, mobilization sub-tasks, vaccination sub-tasks, monev sub-tasks, and data collection and reports sub-tasks.

"We hope that the target in the next two months can be realized, as long as the vaccination process is not carried out separately, but in synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces, Indonesian National Police, and local government," said the Graduated from the Indonesian Armed Forces Academy in 1998.

The former of Director of Community Guidance of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police added that in achieving the target of 20,000 vaccinations per day, his party implemented several strategies, including establishing a provincial, district/city level vaccine task force post and adding vaccine outlets in public places, mobile vaccination, vaccination for community groups.

In addition, mobilization by the four pillars in the ward/village, adding vaccinators and administrators, and creating a task force at the district/city level.

"The number of vaccinators deployed does not include vaccinators from the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) as many as 169 people," concluded Police Brigadier General Umardani.
