Tribratanews.polri.go.id- Pekanbaru. Chief of Riau Regional Police, Police Inspector General Agung Setya Imam Effendi said his party supports the implementation of construction of Gotong Royong oxygen house in Riau Province, because this is an effort to handle COVID-19 cases in Riau.
"Let's make this happen as soon as possible because that's our way to deal with Covid-19 in Riau," he said while attending a meeting at Serindit Hall Regional Building, Monday (08/02/2021).
Chief of Riau Regional Police also stated the need for oxygen house was urgent, so it is necessary to carry out immediate execution. Because, this execution will determine the health services that will be provided to the community.
Chief of Riau Regional Police said if it is too late to carry out the construction of this oxygen house. Moreover, in the midst of high confirmed positive Covid-19 condition in Riau Province, it will be hard for self-isolation houses prepared by government or hospitals that provide Covid-19 services.
In addition, Chief of Riau Regional Police hopes the construction of this Gotong Royong oxygen house can be carried out soon, of course, together with regional government and other business entities.
Meanwhile, Chairperon of Riau Provincial Regional People’s Representative Council, Hardianto, invites to immediately make preparation, because it would help patients who are confirmed Covid-19 positive, especially in Riau Province.
Hardianto also said on behalf of Riau Province, he invited companies in Riau Province to contribute together to help build this Gotong Royong oxygen house.
"I hope this contribution can be useful for the people of Riau," he hoped.
