The Community Security and Order Awareness Group (Pokdarkamtibmas), which is the spearhead of the Indonesian National Police in the community and has also become the Indonesian National Police strategic partner, was officially formed in North Maluku on Friday (22/10).
The launch was officiated by the inauguration of the Head and Administrators of North Maluku Pokdarkamtibmas by the Chairman of Pokdarkamtibmas Bhayangkara, Heru Riyadi, and the Chief of North Maluku Regional Police, Police Inspector General Risyapudin Nursin, in the Kie Raha Hall of North Maluku Regional Police Headquarter.
The inauguration ceremony was continued to the minute of news by the Chief of North Maluku Regional Police, Chairman of Pokdarkamtibmas Bhayangkara, and inaugurated Regional Chairman of North Maluku Pokdarkamtibmas Bhayangkara, Salmin I Saleh.
The ceremony was also attended by Primary Officials of North Maluku Regional Police, Regional Leaders Coordination Forum, Chief of Staff of Regional Military Command, Colonel Wawan Subarjo, Representative of KBPP of Indonesian National Police, M Rifai, Chairman of HIPAKAD, Djoyo Sukarno, Deputy Chairman of Pemuda Pancasila, Rajak Idrus, and Advisor of North Maluku Pokdarkamtibmas, Hardi Hanafi.
In his opening statement, the Chairman of Pokdarkamtibmas, Heru Riyadi, stated that the inauguration of North Maluku Pokdarkamtibmas is the 28th out of 34 provinces across Indonesia.
Pokdarkamtibmas aim to help and support Indonesian National Police duties in the community, such as legal education, to achieve a law-abiding society.
"Pokdarkamtibmas is one of the forms of policing the community because of the lack of Police personnel in the community. The Pokdarkamtibmas is hoped to be the spearhead of Presisi Police", Chief of Regional Police said.
