Supporting Food Security During PPKM, Noken Community Development Unit of Puncak Jaya Departmental Police Visited Resilient Village of Pagaleme

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Puncak Jaya.In supporting food security during PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions Enforcement), Noken Community Development Unit Task Force of Puncak Jaya Departmental Police inspecting Resilient Villages and informing Health Protocols in Pagaleme village, Pagaleme district, Puncak Jaya regency, on Monday (August 2, 2021).

The PPKM command post and Pagaleme Resilient Village were supervised by the Coordinator of Noken Community Development Unit of Puncak Jaya, Police Inspector 1st Class Alaudin Patawary, last afternoon. Besides inspected the harvest of vegetables such as cabbages and mustard greens planted by Mrs Ekira Telenggen and Mrs Yabaus Tabuni, the task force personnel also inspected the fish pond and pigs farm owned by Mr Simon Wonorengga.

As information, one year ago, Noken Community Development Unit Task Force gave aid in the form of farm pigs, fish seeds, and vegetable seeds to the villagers of Pagaleme village to be reared and developed. Now, those animals and vegetables could be enjoyed by all villagers of Pagaleme village, mainly during the PPKM.

When confirmed, Police Inspector 1st Class Alaudin Patawary said that Noken Community Development Unit Task Force of Puncak Jaya Departmental Police cares for the people, especially in Pagaleme village, in which yesterday afternoon they inspected the pig's farm, tilapia pond, and cabbage and white cabbage farms owned by villagers of Pagaleme village.

He also said that during PPKM, all public activity must be limited. Therefore, food security is required to survive. By the presence of the Noken Community Development Unit in the Pagaleme village, they could provide the understanding and educate the importance of food security by cultivating everything that existed from agriculture to animal farming.

"Beside inspecting the condition of farm pigs, tilapia pond, and vegetable farms, we also educate on the importance of Health Protocols, which are wearing a face mask, washing hands, keeping distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility to suppress the increasing Coronavorus transmission", Police Inspector 1st Class Alaudin Patawary concluded.

Meanwhile, on the same occasion, Mr Simon Wonorengga, the public figure in Pagaleme village, thanked the Noken Community Development Unit Task Force who cares for the people in Pagaleme village, especially during the PPKM. He also promised to take good care of farm animals and tilapia ponds so people could be food secure.
