The Directorate of Narcotics Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) of the South Sumatra Police (Polda Sumsel) managed to arrest dozens of drug dealers and users.
Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Sumsel Commissioner Supriadi said that there are 37 drug cases revealed by securing 45 suspects.
“We are continuing our effort to ensure this place is free from drugs. We have been conducting several ways to arrest the suspects of drug abuse,” said Commissioner Supriadi in his office, Monday (21/02/2022).
From the dozens of people that were secured, the authorities also confiscated 369.7 grams of methamphetamine, 70.43 grams of marijuana, and 316 of half pills of ecstasy as evidence.
"This week, from the data we have obtained, there are two Polres in the ranks who have revealed no drug cases, namely the Pagaralam Police and the Empat Lawang Police," said the Akabri graduate in 1991.
From these cases, the police estimated that they have saved 29,210 youth from illegal drugs.
