Sumsel Authorities Solved 45 Drug Cases in the Past Two Weeks

inp.polri.go.id - Sumsel. To prevent the youth from drug entanglement, the Directorate of Narcotics Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) of the South Sumatra Police (Polda Sumut), together with the Polrestabes and Polres, continue to make various efforts to suppress and eradicate drugs in the South Sumatra region.

This was proven on the second week of February 2022, Ditresnarkoba and the authorities were able to secure 72 suspects and succeeded in uncovering 45 drug cases.

South Sumatra Police Chief (Kapolda Sumut), Inspector General (Irjen) Drs. Toni Harmanto, M.H., spokesperson the Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) Commissioner Supriadi, M.M., said that in this case, his party had made various efforts to fight drugs.

"Obviously we will continue to fight and eradicate drugs. For the past two weeks we have succeeded in uncovering 45 cases by securing 72 suspects with details of 59 dealers and 13 users," he said, Tuesday (15/2/22).

In its war, The authorities have been able to confiscate 233.06 grams of methamphetamine, 452.07 grams of marijuana, and 5,123 pills of ecstasy.

"For this second week, from the data we have obtained from the list of revealed cases, there are no cases. This indicates that the Polrestabes and Polres ranks continue to disclose drug cases this week," explained Kabid Humas Polda Sumut.

He stated, from solving those cases, the police managed to save approximately 12,096 youth from the entanglement of these illicit goods.
