inp.polri.go.id – Padang. After the competition of West Sumatra Vaccine Awareness Competition (SUMDARSIN) for children aged 6-11 years, a few days ago, the West Sumatra Regional Police (Polda Sumbar) appealed to parents to invite their children (aged 6-11 years) to take part in the vaccination.
The Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Sumbar Commissioner Stefanus Satake Bayu Setianto, SIK., said, “We urge the parents to invite their children to take the vaccine”.
"We encourage parents who have children aged 6-11 years to invite and educate them to participate in vaccine inoculations," explained Kabid Humas Polda Sumbar, Monday (7/2/2022).
Kabid Humas Polda Sumbar adds that to achieve they need cooperation from all sectors, especially parents, so their children could return to the schools as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI) West Sumatra, Dr. dr. Finny Fitry Yani, SpA(K) said that the vaccine for children aged 6 to 11 years aims to form strong antibodies against Covid-19.
"Vaccinate your child to avoid Covid-19 disease so your children would be safe in school," explained Kabidhumas Polda Sumbar.
Furthermore, Commissioner Stefanus Satake Bayu Setianto, SIK., said to all ranks of the Resort Police in the region to always cooperate with every party involved, especially the Education Office to disseminate information to elementary schools so that they could continue to accelerate vaccination for children aged 6-11 years.
