Previously, Chief of Central Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Inspector General Abdul Rakhman Baso, stated that he committed to finishing the Madago Raya operation to eradicate terrorism cases in Poso.

According to him, the MIT terrorist group of Poso, which left six people remaining, is hard to chase due to many sympathisers. "Besides the harsh terrain, there are still sympathisers supporting them. Long story short, if someone wants this operation to be over, then cut the sympathisers. It would decrease the movements supporting them", Chief of Regional Police said.

However, the Chief of Regional Police does not want to detail the sympathiser's identities who support the MIT terrorist group. The chase requires the cooperation of all stakeholders to stop radicalisation.

"Now, only six people left from the group. If the six people on the wanted list could be finished by radicalism and counter-radicalism measure, but the one that people should do is on how to develop infrastructure and enhance the economy of Poso regency people", Chief of Regional Police said.

During the punishment of the wanted people from the terrorist group, Abdul said that Madago Raya Task Force prioritises soft measures such as appealing those terrorists to surrender. "Except if we encounter them on the ground, we will subject them with firm and measured punishment", Chief of Regional Police concluded.
