Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Denpasar. In order to keep Bali's situation safe, the Bali Regional Police Chief, together with related Stakeholders, synergizes in utilizing the potential of local wisdom in Bali to realize an adequate environmental security system based on Traditional Villages. Spandau Adat is a traditional village-based security system that integrates all security components in a traditional village, including Pecalang, Linmas, Security Guard, Community Police Officers, and Village Leadership NCO.
"In carrying out the Apel to check the readiness for the establishment of the Sipandu Adat forum which was attended by the Mayor of Denpasar and Military Regional Command 1611/Badung at Mertasari Beach, Sanur," the Bali Regional Police Chief said.
"With the synergy of the Bali Regional Police and all Stakeholders in an environmental security system based on Traditional Villages, we will be able to anticipate that the disturbance threshold does not develop into potential disturbances or even become real disturbances and resolve various security disturbances in their respective Traditional Villages," explained the Regional Police Chief.
Spandau adat is tangible proof of the desire and hope of the Balinese people in a comfortable life order and upholds a steady Bali. Related to the rampant acts of thuggery and drug trafficking that have been the concern of the Balinese people, the Bali Regional Police has made the traditional Sipandu an early detection tool for the potential re-emergence of community organizations that lead to thuggery and drugs.
In the future, Bali will also be faced with several international events in 2022. The international events that will be held are different from previous events that we are currently facing with the COVID-19 pandemic. This is an opportunity and a challenge for Balinese people to show that Bali deserves to be an Indonesian icon in the world's eyes. With the existence of the traditional Sipandu, it is hoped that Bali will provide a sense of security and comfort for the Balinese themselves and outside Bali and even internationally. Not only as a supporter in creating Maintenance of Public Order and Security, but the traditional Sipandu must also be at the forefront of monitoring and implementing health protocols amid the current COVID-19 pandemic.
