South Sumatra Regional Police Destroy Evidence of 3.5 Kg of Narcotics and 84 Ecstasy Pills

The results of the disclosure of drugs from the Narcotics Directorate of South Sumatra Regional Police as much as 3.5 kilograms of methamphetamine and 84 pills of ecstasy were destroyed in front of eight suspects who were also detained in a number of places in the South Sumatra region by blending.

The destruction that we are carrying out today, if we estimate from the evidence that we have secured, can save the nation's 35,000 lives, said Deputy Director of Drugs at the South Sumatra Police, Pol Grand Commissioner Attendant Djoko Lestari.

The Director of Drugs at South Sumatra Regional Police hopes that this extermination can suppress drug trafficking in the South Sumatra region which is decreasing day by day.

"In accordance with the expectations of the South Sumatra Regional Police Chief who continues and wants to fight against drugs," explained the Director of Drugs at South Sumatra Regional Police.

The Director of Drugs at South Sumatra Regional Police added that the destruction of this evidence is as mandated in Article 91 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Drugs and Article 45 paragraph 4 of the Criminal Procedure Code, which requires investigators to destroy confiscated evidence.

"In addition, to avoid the misuse of evidence from irresponsible legal officers," explained the Director of Drugs at South Sumatra Regional Police.
