Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Palembang. During July 2021, South Sumatera Regional Police revealed 34 drugs cases and arresting 31 suspects in number of districts/cities in the province.
Confiscated evidence from the suspected drug dealer and 11 drug users are 10,298,32 gram meth, five marijuana cigarettes, 55 grains of ecstasy, according to Head of Public Affairs of South Sumatera Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Supriadi, in Palembang, Monday.
Disclosure of the case is carried out by members of Directorate of Drugs Crimes of South Sumatera Regional Police and Drugs Crime Unit of several Resorts Police in this province.
Based on the data, the most suspects were arrested by member of Directorate if Drug Crimes of South Sumatera Regional Police with 6 Police Reports and 8 suspects. Ogan Komering Ilir Resort Police with 5 Police Reports and 7 suspects, and Palembang City Resort Police with 4 Police Report and 5 suspects.
Meanwhile Pagar Alam Resort Police and Noth Musirawas Resort Police, no cases were revealed in the fourth week of July 2021.
Seeing the high number of drug case, South Sumatera Regional Police and its ranks will try harder to conduct drug abuse eradication and drug illicit traffic as well as will enforce the law maximally.
"Whoever proven to save, have, and distribute drug, they will be punished according to law implemented," Head of Public Affairs of South Sumatera Regional Police said.
Besides increasing the drug eradicating operation, police also asked people to together with the police to eradicate drug abuse and trafficking.
Community needs to participate in terms of taking care of family from the bad influence of drug that would ruin the future of the next generation.
If community knows that in their respective area there are practice of drug abuse and drug trafficking, they need to report it immediately to the nearest police office.
