Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Banjarmasin. The South Kalimantan Regional Police discovered the smuggling of hundreds of ecstasy pills stored in rice boxes to trick police officers.
"A total of 300 ecstasy pills and five packages of methamphetamine weighing 76.2 grams were hidden by the suspect in a rice box," explained Head of Sub-Directorate 3 of the South Kalimantan Regional Police's Drug Investigation Directorate, Pol. Grand Commissioner Attendant Niko Irawan, Friday (01/10/21).
The suspect with the initial RS was arrested on Pangeran Hidayatullah street, Sungai Jingah Village, North Banjarmasin District, Banjarmasin City.
The Operational Team of Sub-Directorate 3 of the Drug Investigation Directorate of the South Kalimantan Regional Police carried an expansion to the suspect's house on Padat Karya street, North Banjarmasin District.
At that location, evidence was found of hundreds of ecstasy pills and several packages of methamphetamine ready to be distributed.
"There are also 48 ecstasy pills that are stored in the suspect's trouser pocket in the living room chair," explained Pol. Grand Commissioner Attendant Niko Irawan.
Based on the evidence findings, the suspect was snared by investigators Article 114 paragraph (2) sub-Article 112 paragraph (2) of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Drugs with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
