Securing the Work Visit of the Indonesian President, East Kalimantan Regional Police - Military Regional Command VI/Mlw Deploys 1,840 Personnel

The East Kalimantan Regional Police together with Military Regional Command VI/Mulawarman deployed a combined National Armed Forces and National Police team of 1,840 personnel. The day before, the East Kalimantan Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Herry Rudolf Nahak, checking the security preparations for the arrival of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo to Balikpapan and Samarinda. The Regional Police Chief directly leads the deployment of troops, including checking the readiness of equipment, both vehicles and others at the Manggar Toll Gate, East Balikpapan.

“Make sure the security where you work, always coordinate. Report any developments in the situation to the leadership,” said the East Kalimantan Regional Police Chief.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the East Kalimantan Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo said the East Kalimantan Regional Police had deployed 1,840 joint National Armed Forces and National Police personnel for security today.

Also accompanying the President on the flight to East Kalimantan Province were the Minister of Defense, Prabowo Subianto, Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, National Police Chief - Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono, Presidential Military Secretary, National Armed Forces Air Commodore M Tonny Harjono, Commander of Presidential Guard - Brigadier General Tri Budi Utomo, and Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Bey Machmudin.

President Jokowi's visit to East Kalimantan is planned to inaugurate the Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road sections 1 and 5. In addition, the group headed for the Balikpapan Sport and Convention Center (BSCC), Dome on Jalan Ruhui Rahayu, accompanied by East Kalimantan Governor Isran Noor to review mass vaccination activities.

The mass vaccination was also attended by about 1,000 people consisting of the community, students, university students, religious leaders and community leaders. After reviewing the mass vaccination, President Jokowi briefed the Governor, Commander of Regional Military VI/Mlw, Regional Police Chief of East Kalimantan, Deputy Mayors/Regents throughout East Kalimantan virtually in the Balikpapan City Hall Office Hall.

After giving a briefing, the President continued his working visit to Samarinda. Then inaugurated the Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road. Here, the President reviewed the Display Panel and gave a speech, followed by the signing of the inscription.

After that, the Toll Road will be tested as far as 12 kilometers. Then continued with the inauguration of the Development of Four Higher Education Institutions Project Project. Project location on Mulawarman University Campus.
