In Demak, the Chief of Regional Police and Commander of Regional Military and several officials visited the Indonesian Hajj Brotherhood Association building to review the vaccination of five thousand Demak residents. Meanwhile, in Grobogan, the group reviewed the implementation of vaccinations at the Mambaul A'la Islamic boarding school.
To reporters, the Chief of Central Java Regional Police explained that the acceleration of Covid-19 vaccination in Central Java was necessary. Considering that the wheels of the economy are starting to move and the community has carried out normal activities, although strict prokes rules must limit it.
"Therefore, the implementation of vaccinations must be boosted simultaneously. Implementers in the field must be synergistic. The achievement, which is still around 28 per cent in Grobogan is still lacking, but I applaud the significant progress and good cooperation between institutions," said the Chief of Regional Police.
Meanwhile, Commander of Regional Military Rudiyanto explained the ideal vaccination achievements that must be achieved to immediately form herd immunity in Central Java, especially in Greater Semarang. According to him, all stakeholders must take creative steps to increase the number of people participating in vaccinations. For Greater Semarang, the Commander of Regional Military highlighted the new average number of around 55 per cent.
"Currently, in Greater Semarang, only around 55 per cent of the population have been vaccinated. Therefore, we must move immediately so that the vaccinated population reaches 70 per cent and herd immunity is immediately established," said the two-stars general.
Furthermore, the Chief of Regional Police and Commander of Regional Military hope that the community will be more active in participating in the Merdeka Candi Vaccination Activities. For this reason, the participation of the mass media is very necessary so that public awareness about the need for vaccines and adherence to health protocol is increasing.
On the visit in Demak, the Chief of Regional Police and Commander of Regional Military IV/Diponegoro assisted people with special needs and widows of Indonesian National Police members whose husbands died due to COVID-19.
