Tribratanews.polri.go.id- Batam. With the current increase in Covid-19 cases in Indonesia, one of the regions experiencing a surge in Covid-19 cases is East Java. Therefore, East Java also participated in strengthening Micro Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities in Indonesia.
In accordance with the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Number 13/2021, the East Java Regional Police are ready to oversee the implementation of strengthening Micro Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities in Indonesia, especially in the red zone. In accordance with this policy, Neighbourhoods with red zones must cover children's playgrounds and other public places proportionally.
Head of Public Relations of East Java Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Gatot Repli Handoko said that later raids would be carried out to discipline the public in implementing health protocols. In this discipline, the Municipal Police will also be involved and assisted by the National Armed Forces/National Police.
The Head of Public Relations of East Java Regional Police explained that his party will also provide assistance to people who are in self-isolation. Then there will also be mobility restrictions at the micro level for Neighbourhoods that are included in the red zone or high Covid-19 spread.
In addition to limiting community mobility on a micro basis, the implementation of work from home or working from home as much as 75 percent is also applied to red zone areas. This includes face-to-face learning activities, which have now been shifted to fully online schools.
Furthermore, worship activities are also asked to be carried out at home. Then malls or shopping centers are also only allowed to open until 09.00 PM with a capacity of 50 percent. Meanwhile, restaurants and arts, social and cultural activities are allowed to remain open, but with a maximum capacity of 25 percent.
This policy was implemented with the aim of controlling the spike in COVID-19 that is currently happening. The government and the community are expected to follow these regulations with discipline.
