Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Pekanbaru. Deputy Chief of Police, Pol. Commissioners General Gatot Eddy Pramono, inspects the mass Covid-19 vaccination at the Lancang Kuning University campus, Pekanbaru, Riau, Tuesday (08/10). Deputy Chief of Police with Lancang Kuning University Chancellor Junaidi and Riau Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Agung Setya Imam Effendi, saw and talked to vaccination participants and health workers.

The Deputy Chief of Police said that Covid-19 vaccination can break the chain and cannot be done alone. Therefore, according to the Deputy Chief of Police, collaboration from the government and students is needed.

"Hopefully it can be handled with a common spirit. There are many younger students here, so we ask to participate in educating the community," said the Deputy Chief of Police.

According to him, many residents do not want to be vaccinated because they do not believe in the consequences of the hoax issue. "Some say the corona is a conspiracy, they don't want to wear masks. Even though if we are disciplined, the corona will be far from us," said the Deputy Chief of Police.

The Deputy Chief of Police also warned people who had been vaccinated not to be arrogant. Because, those who have been vaccinated are also required to apply 5M.

"Don't be euphoric after being vaccinated and continue to apply 5M, use masks, keep your distance, avoid crowds and others. Of course this is the role of the University, our younger students are involved as vaccinators and Chairman of the Student Executives," he explained.

The Deputy Chief of Police asked for help from thousands of students in Riau for the 5M campaign and Covid-19 vaccination so that the pandemic would end soon. Not without reason, thousands of students are very influential with the progress of the nation and state and economic recovery.

"If 10 thousand students say that, everything can be done. Presma can convey to the public for vaccination. The sooner we handle this, the sooner we can recover the economy of the Riau people," he said.

Meanwhile, Lancang Kuning University Chancellor Junaidi also conveyed the visit of the Deputy Chief of Police to the Lancang Kuning University Campus to see the vaccination activities given to students.

"There are 1,500 vaccine quotas given by Riau Governor Syamsuar to Unilak. Today, we are running 500 quotas. Then the rest will last for the next 2 days until Thursday," explained the Lancang Kuning University Chancellor.

The Chancellor of Lancang Kuning University also supports the government's program in suppressing the spread of Covid-19 in Pekanbaru. He also mobilized students and lecturers to campaign for the Covid-19 vaccination to achieve herd immunity.

"To get herd immunity, all students must be vaccinated. I will support the government's program in suppressing the spread of Covid-19. Vaccination is also followed by the community around Rumbai, and also from friends with disabilities," he concluded.
