Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Papua. Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, inspected the tennis, soccer and diving venues directly related to the 2021 National Sports Week (PON) readiness in Papua, Thursday (09/30/2021). His arrival ensured that the event was safe, orderly and implemented health protocols (prokes).
The National Police Chief said that the direct review was also to ensure that the accelerated vaccination process at the National Armed Forces and National Police vaccine booths at each venue was carried out correctly.
"We have just checked the first two tennis venues and the second ball venue. First, however, of course, we want to know firsthand; the first is related to security, the second is how to implement health protocols," said the National Police Chief at a press conference at the diving venue, Papua.
In each of his visits to the venue, the National Police chief pays attention to the details of security to the implementation of health protocols, from the seating distance of the audience to monitor the use of the PeduliLindung application.
For residents who watched the match live, after accessing the PeduliLindung application, they were given a bracelet that had a barcode as a sign that the vaccine had been injected. The bracelet must be worn while in the arena of competition.
"Especially the officials and spectators, we saw starting from entering, carrying out inspections related to thermal and disinfectant. For spectators, they must use wristbands as a sign that they have been vaccinated. Of course, then there is an Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management post that prepares masks when there are people who do not bring masks," said Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
Not only that, to ensure that the process goes well, the organizers also always carry out socialization to continue carrying out the progress through announcements containing appeals broadcast through loudspeakers.
"I see inside, our activities have reminded us that messages related to the use of masks are given. Because the stadium is given a distancing sign, of course, we ask to be announced every time to remind the public, spectators, to continue to wear masks and keep their distance," said the National Police Chief.
The former Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police stated that continuous appeals to implement health procedures would be carried out in all sports venues. The hope is that National Sports Week will run optimally without a spike in coronavirus cases.
"Of course, there will be an evaluation so that in the future, we hope that the match will run safely and smoothly. Nevertheless, on the one hand, we can control the growth rate of Covid-19," said Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
On the same occasion, the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Indonesia Zainudin Amali believes that the hard work of the National Armed Forces, National Police and related parties will make the National Sports Week implementation run safely, orderly and smoothly.
"If you look at it, for now, I am optimistic that tomorrow's opening will run smoothly without any problems," said Zainudin Amali.
