Reviewing Bangkalan with the National Armed Forces Commander, National Police Chief Explains Steps to Save Residents from the Risk of Covid-19

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Bangkalan. National Armed Forces Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin directly observed the handling of Covid-19 or the corona virus in Bangkalan Regency, Madura, East Java, Saturday (06/19/2021).

On that occasion, Sigit explained about the steps to save residents from the risk of the spread of Corona Virus which recently spiked after the 2021 Eid holiday.

"So what can be done to save the risk, namely, keep the community from getting infected, prevent the rate of transmission, quickly find out positive cases or not and vaccinate," said Sigit at the Rato Ebuh Multipurpose Building, Bangkalan Regency, Madura.

According to Sigit, the local Regional Leadership Coordination Forum must move quickly to maximize 3T (Testing, Tracing and Treatment). As well as optimizing 5M (Wearing masks, Washing hands with soap and running water, Maintaining distance, Staying away from crowds, and Limiting mobilization and interaction).

The former Chief of Criminal Investigation Unit of National Police explained that by accelerating the findings of close or active contact cases, the safety of citizens from the dangers of the corona virus can be immediately avoided.

"It's a shame for the people of Bangkalan that some time ago there has been a cluster of increasing Covid-19, related to the efforts of the local government there are still difficulties in handling it. People who are caught late have a very high risk of death," said Sigit.

Therefore, the former Banten Regional Police Chief emphasized the importance of synergy with all parties in the implementation of Micro Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities in Indonesia around the region.

In addition, said Sigit, efforts to save citizens from the corona virus are by accelerating the vaccination process as initiated by the Indonesian government.

"In the future there will be mass vaccinations and help with education and informing to the public that want to be vaccinated," said Sigit.

Similarly, the National Armed Forces Commander also asked all relevant parties to strengthen the tracking of close contacts and active cases in order to break the chain of Corona Virus.

"The tasks of the Micro Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities in Indonesia's Command Post at the village level are Nerighborhood based, close contact tracing, strict self-isolation supervision, closing public places, prohibiting crowds, limiting Neighborhood from going out, daily recording," Said Hadi on the same occasion.

Meanwhile, Minister of Health Budi continued to appeal to the public to be disciplined in implementing health protocols and administering vaccines.

"To reduce the rate of transmission, people must continue to wear masks, then for the next 14 days stay at home and don't be afraid to get swab tests and don't be afraid to be vaccinated or injected," said Budi.

After the presentation, the group made a direct observation to the public kitchen field and saw firsthand the mass vaccination process at ASDP Port, Bangkalan, Madura, with a target of one thousand people. Later, residents who have been vaccinated will be given food packages.
