Red Zone, Police Deploy 100 Personnel to Guard 1 Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities in Indonesia Command Post in Madiun and Bangkalan

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Police has deployed a company of 100 members jointly with the National Armed Forces to guard each Command Post for the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities in Indonesia's (Posko PPKM) in Madiun and Bangkalan Regencies, East Java.

"To tighten the implementation of Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities in Indonesia, each Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities Command Posts will be backed up by a company of troops," said the Head of the Public Relations Division (Kadivhumas) of National Police, Pol. General Inspector Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono, S.I.K., M.Sc., through a written statement.

Head of PR hopes that the tightening of Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities implementation by his institution and the National Armed Forces in two regencies could run optimally.

"Also strengthening health protocols so that they don't loosen," explained the Head of PR.

As is known, the number of positive cases of Covid-19 is increasing daily. East Java is one of the provinces that has a large number of positive confirmed cases. Based on the latest data until June 17, the number of positive cases of Covid-19 in East Java reached 161,385 cases.

Due to the high number of cases, the local government has also blocked the Suramadu Bridge from the direction of Surabaya City and from the direction of Bangkalan Regency as of June 17, 2021. This blocking was carried out to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
