Through the KASUARI Programme (Welfare for the People), the Noken Community Development Unit (Binmas Noken) of the Sarmi region support the fish cultivation in Sawar village, Sawar district, Sarmi regency through fish seeds distribution.
The 200 tilapia fish seeds were given by Police Inspector First Class Yulius Mapeni along with his members: Police Chief Brigadier Muh Zaenal Arifin, Police Chief Brigadier Candra Gunawan, Police Sub-Inspector First Class David Waum (KBO of Binmas Unit), Police Chief Brigadier Musa Hamokwarong (Chief of Swakarsa Security Unit of Binmas), and Police Brigadier Bambang Agus Susanto (Binmas Unit) on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 11.00, to the community figure of Neidam village.
During the handover, Binmas Noken also introduced their personnel and programmes for community development. The intention of the fish seeds handover is the effort to empower the public economy of the Neidam village community, which would be managed as the early capital. The Binmas Noken also advise others in participating Covid-19 vaccination programme to push down Covid-19 numbers in Papua.
