Herd immunity is often used as a target for vaccination to improve and protect health from certain diseases.
Through herd immunity, individuals protect themselves and protect vulnerable groups of people who are not the target of vaccination.
To pursue herd immunity, the government continues to make efforts, one of which is to promote the implementation of mass vaccination. The Indonesian National Armed Forces and Indonesian National Police also support the Covid-19 vaccination and appeal to the public to comply with health protocols.
Chief of Indonesian National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said that with the mass vaccination campaign, Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi)'s target of two million vaccine injections per day would be achieved.
"To reach the figure of 2 million injections per day, it is approximately 300 thousand. Yesterday, the East Java region had reached 280 thousand. So we hope today, the 300 thousand figure can be achieved," explained the Chief of Indonesian National Police when reviewing the implementation of vaccinations at Cor Jesu Catholic High School, Malang, Saturday (11/9/2021).
The Four-Stars General also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Regional Government, Health Service, The Indonesian National Armed Forces and Indonesian National Police personnel, volunteers and other elements of society, who have worked hard to reduce the growth rate and spread of Covid 19.
