Providing Health Insurance for Orphans of Covid-19, East Java Regional Police Launches Special Health Services

Chief of East Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Nico Afinta, officially launched Special Health Services and gave Priority Bhayangkara Hospital Card for 7,700 orphans victim of Covid-19. The event that was attended by all Head of Indonesian National Police Hospital under the East Java Regional Police was held at the Mahameru Building of East Java Regional Police Headquarter on Friday (08/10/21).

Chief of East Java Regional Police appreciated the initiative in inviting hospitals and their managers to equalise visions and missions. Future tasks such as communicating, coordinating, and collaborating could run well.

"I also appreciated the cooperation with the BPJS because there are 7,700 kids who became orphans across East Java because their parents died due to Covid-19. Therefore, East Java Regional Police personnel through the Medicine and Health Agency would cooperate with the BPJS, and the health services of these 7,700 kids would be borne by the hospital for as much as Rp2.2 billion. Therefore, these kids would get healthcare by BPJS", the two-star general said.

All children would be given Priority Bhayangkara Hospital cards, so if they come to Bhayangkara Hospital, they will be given service, including the home care on-call service.

"This is in accordance with Chief of Indonesian National Police programme to realise Presisi Police", Police Inspector General Nico Afinta said.

East Java Regional Police also cooperate with the Social Agency so that their future could be in synergy with Social Agency, BPJS, and Regional Police to conduct treatment in the future.

"We would conduct some MoU signings planned by Chief of Medical and Health Agency as the juridical normative basic so if it changes the MoU could be used as the foundation for the future", the Former Chief of South Kalimantan Regional Police said.

The graduate of the 1992 Class of Armed Forces Academy also appreciated the dedication and spirit of all Medicine and Health Agency and all heads of hospitals in East Java because there is much positive development while conducting duties, either serving Police personnel or the public in handling Covid-19.

"Either conducting vaccination, treatment to the public admitted to hospital or synergy with the Head of Health Agency and Chief of Health of Military Region. These are positive activities that I think every chief could conduct communication, coordination, and collaboration so that what the Chief of Indonesian National Police, Commander of the Armed Forces, or even of President in relation to handling Covid-19, especially in East Java, could run well", the Chief of East Java Regional Police concluded.
