Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh. The Aceh Regional Police has prohibited residents from holding a joint screening of the 2021 European Cup which will begin on Saturday, June 12, 2021.
The ban was imposed to avoid crowds amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Head of Public Relations of Aceh Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Winardy said the ban was made because of the sharp increase in positive cases of Covid-19 in Aceh. So, residents who want to watch the 2021 Europa Cup are advised to watch from home.
"So we suggest football fans to watch at home," said Pol. Grand Commissioner Winardy, Thursday (06/10).
If anyone is watching at a coffee shop or the party holding the joint screening, the Covid-19 Task Force team will disperse and impose sanctions according to the provisions.
"We will disband (if there is a joint screening ). Yes, it is possible that a criminal will be imposed for violating the Quarantine Law and the Health Law," said the Head of Public Relations of Aceh Regional Police.
The police alerted to football lovers to watch the European Cup at home. Especially now that Aceh has become a red zone for the transmission of the Covid-19 pandemic.
