Preventing Covid-19 Cluster During 20th National Sports Week, Chief of Indonesian National Police: Make Sure Spectators are Vaccinated

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Mimika. The 20th National Sports Week (PON XX) in Papua indeed becomes the attention of everyone, including the Indonesian National Police. In a statement, Chief of Indonesian National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, affirmed his personnel, especially Papua Regional Police, to increase Covid-19 vaccination achievement.

Chief of Indonesian National Police addressed his personnel to support all regulations set by the government to support and make PON XX Papua a success.

"Now, there is PON XX event in Papua, in which the regulation set by the government related to people who have to be vaccinated twice. This must be imposed to prevent transmission that leads to crowd cluster", Chief of Indonesian National Police said.

Chief of Indonesian National Police asked the Armed Forces-Police personnel and Local Health Agency to achieve the minimum 70% vaccinated people target. "Then make sure people of Keerom who come to the venue are also vaccinated. This becomes our hard work, and dear colleagues have been able to overcome the obstacles. I appreciate all your hard work, which, I believe, is not easy to vaccinate people in their areas", Chief of Indonesian National Police said.

"Please inform this understanding to the public so that spectators have been vaccinated twice. We do this to prevent Covid-19 transmission from the crowd that potentially transmits Covid-19", Chief of Indonesian National Police said
