Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Medan. North Sumatra Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector-General R. Z. Panca Putra, stated that he would seriously take action on locations that violate the provisions of Community Activity Restriction Enforcement Level 4 Medan City. This was conveyed by the Regional Police Chief based on a report by the Head of the North Sumatra Regional Police Journalists Communication Forum (Forkom Warkop), Jhon Manik, regarding the presence of naughty nightclub entrepreneurs.
It is known that since his inauguration, the North Sumatra Regional Police Chief has tirelessly worked hard to reduce the spread of Covid-19 in North Sumatra. Almost every day he goes around the areas to make sure the community adheres to the Health Protocols.
The Regional Police Chief even immediately appreciated the downgrading of the Community Activity Restriction Enforcement status to Level 3 in Pematangsiantar City. According to him, the establishment of Community Activity Restriction Enforcement Level 3 in Pemantangsiantar City cannot be separated from the support of all elements of society in suppressing the spread of Covid-19.
"I, as the North Sumatra Police Chief and the Regional Military Commander, really appreciate and thank all the people of Pematangsiantar City for collaborating with the National Police and the Regional Government to suppress the spread of Covid-19," explained the Regional Police Chief.
Therefore, it becomes a serious concern for him if there are entrepreneurs at night entertainment venues who don't obey Community Activity Restriction Enforcement in Medan City. It is known that until now the City of Medan is still implementing Community Activity Restriction Enforcement Level 4. Even though there is an easing, night entertainment venues are not allowed to operate after 08.00 PM.
As previously reported, several nightclubs such as Krypton KTV, Grand D'Blues KTV are secretly still open. These locations play cat and mouse with Police officers. When the officers are careless, they are open even until the morning.
This was conveyed by the Head of the North Sumatra Regional Police Journalists Communication Forum (Forkom Warkop), Jhon Manik, last Saturday (09/11/2021). "Based on our search results, the two-night entertainment venues were open when the authorities were careless. Like red-light violators, if you don't see the police, someone will just breakthrough," he said.
He said, currently nightlife venues are limited to only 25 percent of visitors with opening hours until 08.00 PM. But in these two locations, they dare to open at midnight until the morning. Krypton, which is located at Pringgan Market, Jalan Iskandar Muda Medan, is known to be open again starting at 00.00 AM until sunrise. "Sometimes noon sometimes 1 pm, look at the situation," said Jhon.
The same thing also happened at the Grand D'Blues, which is located at the Megacom Center Complex, Jalan Captain Muslim Medan. Located right in front of the food court, the main door of this nightlife venue was tightly closed as if there was no activity. But visitors can enter from the back door through a small alley. This location is like a night market because it is crowded with visit
