Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Inhil. Students from Seberang Tembilahan Village were confused when they were at the port. Because that morning there was no water transportation or pompong that used to take them to the school in the centre of Tembilahan City.

Sometimes they have to wait a long time to get to the pompong, which they usually ride across the Indragiri River to school. Although students from Seberang Tembilahan sometimes experience this condition, the pompong they usually ride is not always available at the port.

Pompong is the primary means of transportation for Seberang Tembilahan to the centre of Tembilahan City and vice versa. Most Pompong is sometimes still at the port around Tembilahan to wait for passengers who want to cross to Seberang Tembilahan. After the pompong from Tembilahan arrives at Seberang Tembilahan Port, the Seberang Tembilahan community can ride it to Tembilahan by paying a predetermined fare.

Luckily that morning, the speed boat patrolling the Indragiri Hilir Departemental Police of Water Unit crossed around the Seberang Tembilahan port. The officer who saw the students immediately docked at the port to give a ride to the students who looked angry for fear of arriving late at school.

Alternately, the students started to ride the speed boat, assisted by 2 Indragiri Hilir Departemental Police of Water Unit personnel who were on duty at that time. But, unfortunately, when members of the Indragiri Hilir Departemental Police of Water Unit gave a ride to the students were also captured by residents at the port.

The recorder can also be heard in the video thanking the Water Unit members, who seemed patiently waiting for the students to get on the speed boat one by one.

"Thank you, commander," said the recorder, who was suspected to be one of the guardians of the students.

"Yes (you're welcome) sir," said a member of the Water Unit from the Patrol speed boat in the video that went viral in the community.

Meanwhile, when confirmed, the Chief of Indragiri Hilir Departemental Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Dian Setyawan, said that the members of the Indragiri Hilir Departemental Police of Water Unit were on patrol happened to meet several school children waiting for pompong in Seberang Tembilahan Harbor.

“Our children are about to cross to Tembilahan for school. But there were no pompongs that were commonly used at that time around the location, so the students had to wait," said the Chief of Departemental Police.

Knowing this, from the explanation of the member on duty, he finally took the initiative to help transport the school children using the Water Unit Speed Boat to Tembilahan.

“Yes, there is nothing wrong with using a speed boat, especially to do good to others. This is part of the Indonesian National Police's service to the community," concluded the Chief of Departemental Police.
