inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Police (Polri) Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim) will summon cooking oil producers throughout Indonesia to discuss the distribution of cooking oil to the market, which is considered rare in recent weeks due to allegations of hoarding which has caused prices to soar.
"We summoned cooking oil producers throughout Indonesia," said the Director of Special Economic Crimes (Dirtipideksus), Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan, Tuesday (22/2/22).
Dirtipideksus explained that it would ask for the distribution data of the producers. Whisnu emphasized that the scarcity of cooking oil should have not happened.
"We ask for data and see the results. We will also review the distribution, so there will be no shortage anymore," he explained.
Brigadier General Whisnu expected tight supervision by the Food Task Force can ensure the distribution of cooking oil so that the community can get what they need.
"Hopefully, through strict supervision from the Food Task Force, this distribution will be a lot smoother. Our job is to ensure the distribution so that the cooking oil reaches the community, not hinder it," stated Dirtipideksus.
It is reported that the Food Task Force of Polri gave an ultimatum to all entrepreneurs not to hinder the distribution of cooking oil on the market.
"So we convey, for entrepreneurs, don't try to hinder the distribution process again," said Brigadier General. Pol. Whisnu Hermawan, Monday (21/2/22).
