inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The National Police's Food Task Force conducts inspections in traditional markets in Jabodetakbek area. In the inspection, they still found the price of cooking oil above the highest retail price of Rp. 14 thousand.
"Sellers in traditional markets still sell the cooking oil above the HET. The selling price follows the HET at Rp. 14 thousand/liter," explained the National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit Director General, Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan Februanto, S.I.K., M.H., Sunday (6/2/2022).
Dirtipideksus explained that several markets and distributors in traditional markets did not fully understand the rules set by the government regarding the determination of oil prices.
"Most of the sellers in traditional markets and distributors do not understand the government's policy of refaction," he explained.
Moreover, he also said that the availability of cooking oil in small modern retailers was still insufficient. Distribution is only carried out every 2-4 days.
"The cause of insufficient availability of cooking oil is the late delivery from distributors and the high enthusiasm of the public to buy cooking oil," he continued.
However, the availability of cooking oil in large modern retail is still relatively safe.
The One-Star General also appealed to all businessmen to comply with government policies regarding the determination of the HET for cooking oil.
"In large modern retailers, the availability of cooking oil is still sufficient/safe, distribution from distributors is smooth and the selling price is in accordance with the HET of Rp. 14 thousand/liter," he said.
"Businessmen are advised to comply with government policies related to HET pricing, the implementation of DMO and DPO, as well as refaction policies to stabilize cooking oil prices," he concluded.
