inp.polri.go.id - Manokwari. The DVI team of the National Police Headquarters Pusdokkes identified the two bodies of the Double O Sorong incident, Friday (11/2/2022). Previously, DVI had identified 10 bodies out of a total of 17 victims' bodies.
The two bodies were, Afifah Maesa Nuraeni, a female, from West Java, Double O Sorong employee. And, Rahmi Dian Putri, a female, Double O employee from Jakarta.
West Papua Regional Police Head of Doctors and Health (Kabid Dokes Polda Papua Barat) Commissioner Bambang Pitoyo explained that the two bodies had been identified based on the results of DNA examination from the National Police Headquarters Health Center.
"The results of a DNA examination from the National Police Headquarters regarding the identification of the bodies of the victims of the Double O incidents have been able to identify 2 victims, Afifah Maesa Nuraeni and Rahmi Dian Putri," he explained in Manokwari.
In total, 12 of the 17 victims have been identified. The rest, said Pitoyo, are still waiting for the results of DNA tests from the National Police Headquarters Health Center.
"Today we are able to identify two victims of the incident. It brings the total of victims we are able to identify to 12 from 17 victims. We just have to wait for the results of the DNA examination from the other five. Hopefully, the DNA examination of the last 5 victims could be completed soon, "concluded the Head of the Dokkes Polda Pabar.
