The Hyena Team of the Samarinda Police (Polresta Samarinda) Drug Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba) is pursuing a supplier of methamphetamine weighing more than 16 kg, which is suspected to have been supplied from Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.
"We are definitely going to develop this case in coordination with the South Kalimantan Police, to hunt down the supplier who is suspected to be there according to the information from the perpetrator who was arrested," said Head of Satresnarkoba of Polresta Samarinda, Commissioner Rido Doly Kristian, Sunday (20/2/2022).
In addition, his party will also coordinate with the National Police Headquarters Laboratory for tracking the drug network.
"We have limited resources, so we have to work with the experts in tracking their communications," he said.
Previously, the Hyena Team of Satresnarkoba Polresta Samarinda managed to thwart the trade of 17 large and small packs of crystal methamphetamine weighing 16,856 grams gross or more than 16 kg, last Wednesday (16/2/2022).
The two perpetrators were detained in different places. First, the police arrested a young man with the initials DK (22) in a rented apartment at Jalan Nuri and RB (35) was secured on Jalan AW Sjahranie Samarinda.
