Sukabumi Police Chief (Kapolres Sukabumi) AKBP Dedy Darmawansyah Nawirputra, SH., S.I.K., participated in evacuating the passengers of a mini bus that was crushed by a fallen tree in Cipetir Village RT 09/02 Cicareuh Village, Cikidang District, Sukabumi Regency.
The Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of the West Java Police (Polda Jabar), Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo S.I.K., M.Sc., appreciated the actions of the Kapolres Sukabumi, who intervened and rushed to the scene.
"Kapolres Sukabumi, together with his team, the Sukabumi Regency BPBD team, Koramil, the SAR team, and other members of the community are trying to get the victims out of the wrecked vehicle due to a falling tree, which deserves a praise," stated Kabid Humas Polda Jabar.
Heavy rain and strong winds at the scene caused the tree to fall. In this incident, it was reported that 1 person died.
