Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Bandar Lampung. Police successfully arrested two cross-provincial robbers specialising in Bank customers. When robbing, suspects initialled AN (28) and AR (21) flatted the victim's tire as the modus.
Both shows no resistance when the joint team of Rejang Lebong Departmental Police, Bengkulu Regional Police, and North Lampung Departmental Police arrested them at Suka Merindu hamlet, Simpang Beliti village, Binduriang, Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu, on Friday (12/11/21).
Chief of Rejang Lebong Departmental Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Puji Prayitno, said that since November 5, 2021, both had been included in the investigation of the Drugs Investigation Unit of Rejang Lebong Departmental Police due to being suspected as drug dealers.
However, after coordinating with the North Lampung Departmental Police, AN was involved in non-violent crime offences on November 1, 2021.
"Therefore, the perpetrator was arrested by the Tekab 308 team of North Lampung Departmental Police and Rejang Lebong Departmental Police", he said.
On the same occasion, he explained that the victim of this non-violent crime case is Anton Cawis Utomo (30), resident of South Kota Bumi, North Lampung regency, on November 1, 2021. He lost Rp165 million money stored in this car. The incident happened when the victim experienced a flat tire.
When the victim patched the tire, the perpetrator smashed the car's back window and grabbed the Rp165 million money. The victim then reports it to North Lampung Departmental Police.
Based on the initial interrogation of the perpetrators, they were both also involved in the same offence at the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), Jakarta, on November 10, 2021.
In PIK, they robbed Rp400 million. The case has been coordinated with the North Jakarta Departmental Police. "Both perpetrators would be brought to North Lampung Departmental Police", he explained.
